The calendar is inching closer and closer to spring! Just two days left of February and we’ll be full into March. We’ve even got daylight savings time on the horizon! It’s time to reevaluate your priorities and set your sights on my spring fashion preview. It’s just the time to put some spring in your step with these new ideas! For the newest of the new in everything fashion, I always turn to my fashionista friend Linda LaRosa, former editorial stylist and fashion maven and owner at Shop Sixty Five in Philadelphia.
Linda says this season – we’ll all want to dress (up) to impress! Why not lead off with this great floral Blooming Garden look from Nicole Miller complete with unusual box neckline, embroidery and intricate lace illusion –coupled with a surprising see-through peek–that flows effortlessly from day to night events. Florals are so, so much fun this season and Nicole Miller steals the show with this bright, uber colorful, floral geo-botanic above-the-knee look that will sure to bring a smile.
Retro this – can you believe it? Patchwork denim is making a huge comeback this season! It’s incredibly strong this spring. LaRosa especially loves the newest skinny jeans to hit the runway – it’s denim reworked by J Brand 811. They are ultra-flattering and promise lots of easygoing fun.
Take it from the top! I love, love this easy, breezy off-the-shoulder peasant top. It’s by Wispy Stems Rocky from Nicole Miller and has the perfect sleeve for spring -when there’s still a bit of a chill in the air. Pair it with…anything! Jeans, a pencil skirt…let your fashion imagination guide you in the right direction.
White is the way to go this spring! Whether it’s a long, lanky, sexy sheath, or a daring peplum top, you can’t go wrong with basic blanc! This sexy, sultry white dress with banded choker neck and deep plunge from Nicole Miller will everyone guessing, but only you will know the secret of your success! And Nicole Miller hits another high note with her very simple, very elegant top that everyone will secretly want for themselves. When in doubt, go elegantly simple with this satin back crepe apron tie white shirt from Helmut Lang with frayed collar and patch -pocket.
