Small for Fall

The smaller the better in bags this fall season! Finally, some relief from those monster totes and all of the “stuff” we think we need inside!  So, here’s my round up of what’s hot for the cooler fall temps!

Since you’re clearly au courant with the “red” trend across the board–we discussed that a few weeks ago… you can draw the obvious connection to this bright, red Elizabeth and James number from Net-A-Porter is must in mini bags.  Since there’s no question that crimson color to rock – you can choose from lots of styles and shades that really packs a punch. Toss in your phone and a favorite lipstick (red, of course!) and you’re on your way.

Check out this bright, yellow option as you walk out the door in the morning!  Love the sunny hue of this “Candy Tweet Sugar” cross-body by Furla. Steer clear of those huge hobos we all got accustomed to and focus on the little things in life that are important.   Sure, you may not be able to fit more than a phone and a few dollars–or a credit card–into these minis but you must admit they’re fun and adorable.  Wonderful things come in small packages!

ZAC from ZAC Posen “Eartha Iconic” certainly says it all if you’re looking for a fantastic mini-crossbody bag – available on Neiman Marcus.  I love the subtle, pastel rainbow colors splashed on the metallic.

Next up: this Kisslock pouch by Coach. It’s so cute, with cherries strewn across a neutral canvas and topped off with a gorgeous, gold chain strap with leather woven throughout!

Diane Von Furstenberg really hit it out of the park with her storm grey “Soirée” bag, infused with gold circle bling, at  This go-everywhere bag will take you from the office a soiree – with no hassle.  Love the look of a clutch with the added thick shoulder strap – very versatile. I’m all for anything that can change and adapt as you must do throughout your busy days, tight schedules, and myriad responsibilities!

Sometimes simplifying your life is the key to a bit more serenity in our busy lives! So, take this fall season and ahead of the game by starting with small steps to simplicity. Clean out your colossal hobo bag packed with all your summer leftovers and start out fresh this fall with a new, smaller handbag.  You’ll be happier and more productive, when you’re not so weighed down! Your back will thank you for it too!
