Posh Polka Dots

Another vintage-look from the past is making a huge comeback this season! It’s time to “do the dots.”  And there are fun ways to now make them look sexy chic – I promise!

Polka dots are having a major movement this fall.  The ubiquitous patterns are not just for little kids…lots of high-end designers are signing on the dotted line. From supersized to teeny-tiny, here’s hoping you’ll give them a chance too.

Check out this Gianni Leclair ruffled polka dot maxi skirt! It’s great for transitioning from work to after-hours fun. Just add a surprisingly simple, toned-down sweater to the mix and you can pull this off effortlessly.

Afraid of seeing spots? Never fear…just try this blue Realisation polka dot print dress on. It’s fun and versatile—almost has a denim-dress style and feel to it.  Sky blue, ruffles, dots and it won’t set you back.

I “spotted” this look by Gianni at Net-A-Porter and fell in love.   It features cut-out shoulders and a bit of much-needed sophistication. The longer maxi-length is perfect for any occasion – day or evening.

The simpler the better when you’re dealing with “busy” patterns, so run over to Banana Republic for these super affordable fitted white dots on navy slacks. Just add a crisp white blouse, throw on a relaxed jacket or blazer and you’re ready to take on the day.

Check out the Farfetch website for these great Michael Kors black and white polka dot boot- cut trousers. Add some black ankle booties and you’re ready to go!

And if an entire ensemble is too much – just opt for some key accessories.  I adore this black and white polka dot satchel with removable hot pink bow by Betsy Johnson. It is also available in a demurer pale grey with a black and white polka dot bow.

And Kate Spade does it again with this adorable dotted cross-body!

And your feet can “do the dots” too! Slip on these Ruby Shoo Get Ready, Get Fete polka dot beauties. Everyone’s eye will gravitate south! And your fashionable feet will have everyone smiling with the perky bow, rounded-toe and just if hint of daring red.

Fashion should be fun and fantastic, so get out there and show them how it’s done.  If anyone out there has any questions or comments on your newest outfit, just forward them along to me and I’ll take care of it…with a smile! Trust me, you know I’m always looking out for you and I would never steer you wrong. (Unless you were in the passenger seat of my new car!) xxx
